AC tune-up

When is the Best Time for a Tune-up in the Gulf Shores Area?

When is the Best Time for a Tune-up in the Gulf Shores Area?

As the seasons change, it’s important to make sure your home’s air conditioning and heating systems are ready to keep you comfortable all year long. That’s why we recommend getting two important tune-ups each year: your AC tune-up in the spring and your furnace tune-up in the fall. The AC tune-up helps prepare your air conditioning system for a cool and comfortable summer by ensuring it is running efficiently and effectively. Meanwhile, the fall furnace tune-up ensures that your heating system is ready to keep you warm throughout the colder months. Right now, we are still experiencing cooler mornings, but by afternoon you are probably already pumping your AC system as the temps slowly warm up more and more throughout the day. This is the perfect time to get an AC tune-up before the summer months hit full force, to make sure your house is staying cool all summer long!

During an AC tune-up at Public Service Plumbers, you can expect a thorough inspection and cleaning of your air conditioning system. Our experienced technicians will check for any issues that may be affecting its performance and efficiency, such as dirty filters or low refrigerant levels. They’ll also inspect the electrical components, lubricate any moving parts, and ensure the thermostat is calibrated properly. Additionally, they may recommend any necessary repairs or upgrades to improve your system’s performance and, in return, save you money on your energy bills. With a professional AC tune-up from our licensed and professional technicians, you can rest assured that your air conditioning system will be running at its best when you need it most!

Roberts AC Tech Tip of the Month

Roberts AC Tech Tip of March

If you’re looking to save money on your air conditioning bill this summer, you’ll want to check out Roberts AC technician James’ tech tip for the month of March. By following this simple tip, you can avoid the need for a service call and potentially save yourself some money.

James recommends changing your air filter and cleaning your drains at least once a month. A dirty filter can restrict airflow and cause your air conditioning system to work harder than it needs to, which can lead to higher energy bills and even system breakdowns.

By regularly replacing your air filter, you’ll ensure that your air conditioning system is running at maximum efficiency, which can help to reduce your energy bills and extend the lifespan of your system. You can also use bleach and vinegar to clean your drains. So, be sure to take a few minutes each month to check your air filter and drains, and you’ll be well on your way to enjoying a cool and comfortable summer without any unexpected service calls.

The Basics of our HVAC Systems, How They Work, and How Roberts AC Can Make Them the Most Efficient

An HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system typically consists of several components that work together to provide a comfortable indoor environment. The basic components of an HVAC system include a Furnace or Heat Pump, an Air Conditioner, a Thermostat, Duct Work, Air Filters, Ventilation Systems, and a Humidifier or Dehumidifier.

These components of the HVAC system work together in a complex but efficient manner to regulate the temperature, humidity, and air quality of a building. Each component plays a crucial role in ensuring that the system runs smoothly and that the indoor environment is comfortable and healthy. Here is how the components at Roberts Air Conditioning work:

The furnace or heat pump, air conditioner, and thermostat work together to maintain the desired temperature. The thermostat automatically reads the temperature of the indoor environment and sends signals to the furnace or air conditioner to turn on or off as needed. The furnace or heat pump generates heat, while the air conditioner removes heat from the indoor air. These two components work together to provide heating OR cooling, depending on the needs due to the current environment.

The ductwork, air filter, and ventilation system work together to distribute the heated or cooled air throughout the building and ensure that it is clean and healthy. The ductwork transports the air to different parts of the building, while the air filter traps dust, dirt, and other airborne particles to maintain air quality. The ventilation system ensures that the indoor air is constantly exchanged with fresh outdoor air, promoting good air quality.

Finally, the humidifier or dehumidifier regulates the humidity level of the indoor environment. It adds moisture to the air when it is too dry or removes moisture when it is too humid, ensuring that the indoor environment is comfortable and healthy.

All of these components work together seamlessly to provide a comfortable, healthy, and efficient indoor environment. By ensuring you have a quality system as well as staying consistent with the maintenance of your system, you can ensure your home is comfortable, healthy, and cost-efficient.
